Absolute Beginners, the 1986 musical film in which David Bowie played advertising executive Vendice Partners in 1950s London, will be released on DVD, Blu-ray and digital next month.

The 30th anniversary edition includes a one-hour documentary featuring director Julien Temple as well as members of the cast. Patsy Kensit, who went on to marry and divorce Liam Gallagher of Oasis and Jim Kerr of Simple Minds, got top billing in the film, which also features Performance co-star (with Mick Jagger) James Fox, Ray Davies, punk singer and future Game of Thrones actor Edward Tudor-Pole and singer Sade.

The soundtrack featured Bowie and Sade, along with the Style Council, Gil Evans and others.

It will be out on July 25th.
