Cheap Trick will help Daryl Hall launch the new season of his ongoing music series ‘Live from Daryl’s House’, by appearing on the show this Thursday, May 5 on MTVLive in the U.S.

Live from Daryl’s House features artists from various musical genres visiting the Hall & Oates singer at his club, located in Pawling, New York, where they jam on each other’s hits and chat.

Other music acts featured on the show this season include Kenny Loggins, soul legends The O’Jays, modern-rockers Daughtry, veteran hip-hop artist Wyclef Jean and country star Miranda Lambert.

“I never thought that I’d be able to top the past, but this season is the best one ever,” says Hall in a statement.

There’s been no shortage of activity lately in the Cheap Trick camp. In addition to their recent induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the band’s new album — Bang, Zoom, Crazy…Hello entered the Billboard chart at number 31, their highest debut since 1988.

If you’re hungry for a dose of ’80s Trick, two of their albums on one CD are out now. 1982’s One on One spawned the hits “She’s Tight” and “If You Want My Love,” while the following year’s Next Position Please was produced by Todd Rundgren and included the single “I Can’t Take It.”

Finally, the band’s 1998 biography, Reputation Is a Fragile Thing: The Story of Cheap Trick, is about to get a limited reprint and can be ordered now from co-author Ken Sharp’s website.
