The blizzard that struck the East Coast over the weekend led to Bruce Springsteen postponing a show and scored Steven Tyler of Aerosmith some face time on CNN.
Springsteen and the E Street Band were set to perform Sunday night at New York’s Madison Square Garden, but the show was postponed on Saturday afternoon for “safety concerns” as the snow piled up and travel through the area was at a standstill.
Another reason for the postponement might have been that Springsteen and his wife Patti Scialfa were stuck in Florida, where they performed at a private benefit Friday night. No rescheduled date has been announced. Springsteen’s next show on The River Tour is Wednesday at Madison Square Garden.
Steven Tyler was in New York to do The Late Show With Stephen Colbert Friday night and visit his daughter Mia. He and Mia happened to walk by a CNN crew on Saturday, so the reporter interviewed him. Tyler played amateur forecaster and predicted that the storm would keep him in New York for a couple of extra days.
