The Footy Show may have won a Logie, but it’s lost a few fans after a skit that went to air last night.
In Beau Ryan’s regular ‘Beau Knows’ segment, he hit the streets in Wentworthville and proceeded to ask the locals questions and produce some humour from the local talent.
However, it was one statement involving an Asian woman that has the internet up in arms.
Beau is walking down the street and stops beside a woman of Asian decent who is bending down to take a photo of three dogs in a window.
“Picking out which one for dinner?” Ryan asks before grinning at the camera. A nine-second long sequence of the segment was posted to the show’s Twitter account directly after it aired.
The tweet remained online for more than an hour before being deleted. Obviously, outrage ensued.

OK the NRL Footy Show ! Should be ashamed ! Your attempts at “humour” are embarrassing and pathetic. Your egos are out of control

@NRLFootyShow No surprise there, the show prides itself on making fun of people whose first language isn’t English. Well done beau.
