Axl Rose has cancelled tonight’s appearance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Though Axl’s camp has yet to comment on the cancellation, the Los Angeles Times says it was “due to unforeseen circumstances.” Kimmel made mention of it on last night’s show, saying, “Axl Rose was supposed to be here tomorrow, but he will not be here tomorrow, for reasons known only to Axl Rose. Or maybe he will be here and he’s just trying to keep us guessing. I don’t know.”
The show never confirmed the Guns N’ Roses singer in any of its press releases, but apparently on Monday his name was briefly listed as a Tuesday guest on the show’s website, but then removed.
On Saturday, Axl’s half-sister Amy Bailey posted on Facebook that he would appear on Tuesday. That, too, was quickly removed. A source at the show tells us that Rose was expected to be there on Tuesday, but “bailed.”
Speculation was that he was going to talk about Guns n’ Roses performing at the Coachella festival in Indio, California in April, as well as the much-rumored stadium reunion tour.
