Asher Keddie has given birth to her first child.
The 40-year-old actress and her artist husband Vincent Fantauzzo, 38, welcomed their first child together this morning, according to various reports, but are yet to reveal whether the baby is a boy or a girl.
News.com.au broke the news in November that the Offspring star was pregnant when she revealed her baby bump on the red carpet at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in Sydney.
The couple arrived together, holding hands as they made their way along the GQ carpet, with Keddie’s bump clearly visible in her black fitted, cut-out gown.
Keddie told news.com.au at the star-studded event: “We’re thrilled. We’re really excited and can’t wait … I just feel good now.
“I’m not big on cravings but anything dairy for some reason. I want lots of cheese and lots of pistachios,” she added of her pregnancy diet.
Fantauzzo, who already has five-year-old son Luca, joked: “I’ve had to do a few midnight runs.”
The couple tied the knot in April 2014 in a secret barefoot ceremony in Fiji after first meeting two years earlier when Fantauzzo painted her for the Archibald Prize.
“We’re just so focused on this at the moment that I don’t know what the future holds for me other than what we’re doing at the moment and celebrating it,” the Gold Logie winner said.
Congratulations to the talented pair.
