Former Rose Tattoo frontman Angry Anderson has pulled out of running in next month’s NSW election for personal reasons.
The rock singer was the endorsed Nationals candidate for the Labor held seat of Cessnock in the Hunter region.
“For personal reasons I have decided that I am unable to be that standard bearer,” he said in a statement.
“I passionately support the National Party and I will stand shoulder to shoulder with whoever is selected to fight for Cessnock and Kurri Kurri’s fair share.”
The Nationals will now move to select a new candidate for the seat. Liberal Premier Mike Baird is tipped to be returned at the March election. AAP
