FLASHBACK: Queensland's Baby Parking Station
Before childcare centres were a thing, Queensland was leading the way in childcare.
In Brisbane, one of the country's earliest childcare facilities - a baby parking station, was taking off.
Funded by the Brisbane Municipal Council it was promoted as a convenient parking station for mum's to drop off their babies while they did the shopping or went to the dentist.
Able to pay by the hour or the day, the one big difference from childcare as we know it today was that they couldn't use it as a long term solution.
