Toddler Dragged Into Lake By Alligator Outside Disney Hotel
A toddler has allegedly been dragged into a lagoon near Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa in Orlando.
The incident occurred during an outdoor movie screening at approximately 9:30pm local time.
Police have been joined by a search party who are currently combing the scene for any sign of the child or the alligator.
Eyewitnesses at the scene say the two year old was on the beach at the time, watching a movie.
The incident happened at Seven Seas Lagoon - just one stop on the monorail from Magic Kingdom Park.
There was a "movie night" outside on the beach tonight... Saying the alligator might have attacked the baby on the beach.— ChristianTheMagician (@Menardness) June 15, 2016
It is unsure whether the family were staying at the resort at the time or simply visiting for the outdoor movie night.
Unconfirmed reports suggest one of the child's parents tried to wrestle the alligator at the time of the attack but that is yet to be verified.
