This Woman Breastfeeds Her Friend's Baby With Her Own Son
Would you let another woman breastfeed your child? Well, for Jessica Anne Colletti, it's a real question she asked her friend.
You see, Mrs Colletti watches her friend's son while she works, and says that she has her friend's permission to breastfeed the boys she calls 'milk brothers', together.
Mrs. Colletti posted the photo of her breastfeeding both her 16-month son and her friend's 18-month son to a pro-breastfeeding page and has received a mixed response.
Happy World Breastfeeding Week!' Mrs Colletti wrote.
'I watch her son while she works and have been feeding them both for a year! So much love between these milk siblings, it's a special bond between us all.'
Mrs Colletti has been breastfeeding her friend's son since he was just five months, after he struggled with formula.
'She lives with me and I asked her permission before we began,' Mrs Colletti wrote on her post.
'She was very much on board with me breastfeeding her son, especially because he was having constipation issues with his previous babysitter giving him formula.'
The post has been liked more than 500 times, with most of the responses being positive.
'I wish that I could like this a million times!' One user wrote.
'Wet nurses saved many lives years ago,' another said.
However, some did not agree with the act of breastfeeding a child that was not your own.
'I'm sure she [the friend] is definitely NOT okay with it,' one person wrote.
'Sorry but that's strange,' another commented.
