Severe Thunderstorm Warning Update For Brisbane
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of Brisbane and Queensland this afternoon.
"The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 12:05 pm, severe thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near Brisbane CBD, Strathpine and Redcliffe," the statement read.
"These thunderstorms are slow moving. They are forecast to affect Caboolture, Dayboro and Bribie Island by 12:35 pm and Ipswich, Fernvale and the D'Aguilar Ranges by 1:05 pm.
"Heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding is likely."
