Search For Answers After Toddler Dies At Inflatable World

Police are still searching for answers after a toddler suffered fatal head injuries at an inflatable children's play centre.

Three-year-old Hunter Young was found convulsing at the bottom of a slide on Sunday at Inflatable World in Toowoomba.

The Coomera toddler had been playing in the under 5s section when he somehow sustained injuries to the back of his head.

After being transferred from Toowoomba Hospital to Brisbane’s Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, Hunter passed away on Monday afternoon.

Investigators have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the boy playing at the centre on Sunday to contact them.

Inflatable World Toowoomba posted a statement on Facebook on Tuesday sending their condolences to the boy's family.

"We are devastated by the news that a child has passed away in hospital after collapsing at our venue on Sunday afternoon," the post says.

Inflatable World also say a full investigation involving all relevant authorities, as well as an internal investigation, is underway.
