School Bans 7yo’s Project, A Photo Of Stillborn Brother

7-year-old Nicholas was assigned a school project to bring in pictures of his life.

He included a photo with his stillborn brother, Noah, who his parents have been mourning the death of since March.

However his teacher wouldn't accept the project, believing the photo of the stillborn baby was too upsetting.

Nicholas' father, Eric Hess told FOX 8 "The teacher told him that she was not going to allow him to have that picture there. That he had to redo it".

The family from Ohio, were shocked that even The Old Brooklyn Constellation Elementary administrators stood behind Nicholas' teacher's decision to ban the picture with their statement; Given the age of the children in the class, we do not believe the subject of the photograph was appropriate. This decision was made in consideration of the best interests of all students in the class. I fully support the decision of the teacher.

His mother, Cassandra told Nicholas not to change his project. "If they want to grade him lower, then they can grade him lower because I refuse to make him feel as if he cannot be proud of his brother".

The family are expecting a baby girl in March next year.
