Police Urgently Trying To Track Down Parents Of Missing Girl



Police have put an urgent call out to identify a young girl who has been found at Flinders View, west of Brisbane. 

"Police are requesting assistance to find the parents/guardians of child located unaccompanied at Flinders View," QPS Media tweeted in the early hours of Thursday morning. 

"The girl is approx 4yrs & 110cm w/short black hair and dark complexion wearing pink/green flower pattern onesie. Found i/s Edwards & Raceview Sts 3.50am."

Anyone with any information or knowledge of a young girl of similar features who is currently missing should contact police immediately. 

Meanwhile, a 24-year-old woman is due to appear in a central Queensland court charged with abducting a five year-old girl from Biloela overnight.

Police say the child was found after someone noticed a vehicle described in a police alert in the Calliope region on Wednesday night.

"It will be alleged the girl was taken from Malakoff Street and, as a result, police declared an Amber Alert," the police report states.

"The child was located safe after a member of the public alerted police after seeing the amber alert and noticing the vehicle in the Calliope area around 7pm.

"A 24-year-old Emerald woman has been charged with one count each of abduction, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, driving whilst unregistered and holder of a class C learner licence failure to comply with requirements.

"She is due to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court today."

An Emerald woman is due to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court later on Thursday charged with abduction, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and other driving offences.
