QLD Man Charged After Cop Loses Two Fingertips In Arrest
A Queensland man is due to face court charged with a raft of offences after a policeman was allegedly injured while arresting him for parole breaches.
The senior constable was taking the 29-year-old into custody in Townsville on Tuesday when it's alleged the man rammed a police car with his vehicle, trapping the officer's fingers.
The officer is believed to have lost the tips of two fingers and was flown to Brisbane for surgery.
The Rowes Bay man is due to face Townsville Magistrates Court on Wednesday on 18 charges, including three counts of serious assault on a police officer and three of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
