Massive Delays As Wet Roads Cause Traffic Chaos
The wet weather is wreaking havoc on Brisbane’s roads this morning with congestion and delays for most routes.
A three car smash on the Bruce Highway has traffic backed up with motorists being warned of huge delays.
The accident at Elimbah means slow going for southbound commuters as emergency services respond to the incident.
One car has been left on its side, while the other two have been seriously damaged.
Another crash on Beaudesert Road northbound after the Logan Motorway is causing delays from Hillcrest with motorists being advised to consider an alternative route.
We’re also being warned of congestion on the Gympie Arterial southbound after Linkfield Road to Beams Road and on the Gateway Motorway southbound through Deagon and Boondall.
The Ipswich Motorway is also experiencing eastbound delays with congestion between the Centenary Motorway to Oxley Creek, with further congestion holding up traffic on the Centenary northbound from Sumners Road to the Centenary Bridge.
Drivers on the Pacific Motorway are also being advised to allow for extra travel time with congestion northbound from Tanah Merah to Underwood.
Traffic's also backing up on Hale Street from the ICB to Coronation Drive going southbound.
