Man Stabbed On QLD Train After Helmet Altercation
A 40 year old man has been hospitalised with a stab wound to the stomach after an altercation broke out on a Gold Coast train last night.
Police allege a verbal altercation between the man and a 23 year old male from Oxenford while travelling on the train.
The older man allegedly followed the 23 year old man to another carriage after the exchange and commenced to kick the younger man's motorcycle helmet.

It was then that the Oxenford man reportedly retaliated, leaving the older man with a single stab wound to the stomach.
Police arrested the younger man nearby the Coomera Railway Station a short time later, while the 40 year old victim was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The 23 year old has been charged with one count each of unlawful wounding, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing a utensil and is due to face the Southport Magistrates court later in the month.
The men were not known to each other.
