Man Causes Traffic Chaos, Running Motorists, Police Off M1
A speeding motorist has caused traffic chaos on the M1 from Ormeau to Gaven this afternoon, ending in a police arrest.
The man, who is in his 30s, is currently under police guard at Gold Coast University receiving medical attention.
The man allegedly ran motorists and police cars off the road in a high-speed chase that only ended when he ran out of fuel on a busy Gold Coast highway.

Police received numerous calls on Monday about the man speeding and forcing cars off the road on the Pacific Motorway as he drove between Ormeau and Gaven.
Officers who tried to intercept him were also forced off the road by the man's dangerous driving before an empty tank of petrol forced him to a stop at Gaven.
He then allegedly assaulted two officers and tried to steal a police car before he was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in police custody.
The two officers sustained minor injuries.
Police say the man may have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
