Man Assaulted With Dinner Plate By Teen Begger In South Bank
A Brisbane teenager has been accused of striking a man over the head with a dinner plate and punching and kicking him after he refused to give him money.
The 17-year-old allegedly demanded money from the man as he was walking on Vulture Street in South Brisbane at about 12.30am on Wednesday, police say.
The Inala boy fled but was arrested at a nearby and charged with attempted robbery with violence, receiving tainted property and obstructing police.

"It is further alleged the boy fled the scene on foot with a group of associates towards Appel Street without obtaining any cash or property from the man," the police report states.
"The man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment of injuries to his head, face and knee.
"Investigations led police to an Appel Street address where a 17-year-old Inala boy was arrested in relation to the matter.
"The boy is charged with one count each of attempted robbery with violence, receiving tainted property and obstruct police."
