Man Assaulted For Late Night Kebab In South Brisbane
We've all had a craving after a night out for a kebab or some take away but this is extreme.
A man has been charged over an incident in South Brisbane last night.
"It will be alleged around 7pm a 34-year-old man drove his vehicle into the carpark of a venue on Cordelia Street and was approached by another man," the police report states.
"The man asked the motorist for a lift, and when he refused the man allegedly punched and kicked the driver’s side window of the car, causing it to smash.
"It is further alleged the man then reached inside the vehicle and punched the driver a number of times in the face before stealing his kebab and fleeing the scene.
"The victim gave chase and called for help and the man was detained nearby with the assistance of a member of the public until police arrived.
"A 36-year-old Manly man has been charged with robbery using personal violence and enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence and is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today, April 6."
While we doubt the kebab was recovered in the citizen's arrest, it's good to see the defendant was caught.
