Young GC Man's Heartbreaking Message Before Body Found
Jai Ellis was on a family holiday when he was reported missing near the NSW/QLD border.
But it was a heartbreaking message that he posted to social media that forced his family and friends to think the worst.
The 21 year old Gold Coast man's body was found yesterday after an extensive search of the Tweed area.
Just after midnight, Ellis posted to his personal facebook page, "I love you all goodbye".
Initially family and friends tried to reach out and get in contact with the 21 year old.
However, when news of his unfortunate passing filtered through the comments turned to condolences.
His vehicle was identified first, found parked near Tweed River - nearby where he had been holidaying in the Fingal Bay area.
His body was reportedly found in the NSW river on Tuesday afternoon.
A large scale water and land search was executed, which included efforts from NSW and QLD police, Roads and Maritime Services, the State Emergency Services, Surf Lifesaving NSW and the Westpac Helicopter.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
