Brisbane Woman Dies After Tragic Train Accident
A woman has died after being struck by a train east of Brisbane.
Train services were immediately suspended about 5.10pm on Tuesday when the 70-year-old woman was struck at the Kianawah Road level crossing at Lindum Station, a Queensland Rail spokeswoman told AAP in a statement.
CLEVELAND LINE: Please be advised, services are suspended in both directions from Murarrie-Manly stations due to an incident requiring emergency services. "This is an absolutely tragic incident and our thoughts go out to the woman's family," the spokeswoman said.
It's believed the incident was an accident.
The woman died at the scene, Queensland Police said in a statement.
Queensland Rail will conduct an investigation into the incident.
