An Update On Grant Denyers Condition Has Been Released

Grant Denyer was yesterday airlifted to hospital following a crash during the Lake Mountain Sprint car race in Marysville.

Ten have released a statement saying the Family Feud host was in ‘good spirits’ despite the crash.

“Grant walked away from the crash and was then airlifted to a Melbourne hospital as a precaution for assessment,” the statement read.

“Grant has sustained bruising to his lower back while Dale has a suspected broken leg. Grant is walking around and is in good spirits.”

The Australian Tarmac Rally Championship said in a  statement:

‘’There was an incident today during a competition stage involving Grant Denyer and Dale Moscatt on stage 12 of the Lake Mountain Sprint, Round 2 of the Australian Tarmac Rally Championship.

Both occupants were removed safely from the vehicle by Race SolutionsMotorsport medical and safety team and transported by Race Solutions to a purpose setup medical centre for assessment.

They have been transported to Melbourne with minor injuries following a detailed description of assessment to Ambulance Victoria.

Families have been notified, and every one at the Australian Tarmac Rally Championship wishes both Grant and Dale a speedy recovery.’’

It’s not the first time Denyer has been in a crash, in 2008, he shattered his vertebrae while doing a monster truck jump demonstration.

Yesterday's incident came on the day Denyer found out he was nominated for this year's Gold Logie.

Family Feud airs weeknights on Ten at 6 PM.
