Actor Jessica Falkholt Dies In Hospital
Home and Away actor Jessica Falkholt has died in St George Hospital a week after a funeral was held in Sydney for her sister and parents following a horror Boxing Day car crash.
Jessica's parents Lars and Vivian were laid to rest along with sister Annabelle, 21, at St Mary's Catholic Church in Concord on Wednesday.
Jessica died in hospital on Wednesday morning, the hospital says.
"On behalf of the family of Jessica Falkholt, St George Hospital has been asked to advise the media and the community of Jessica's passing today at 10.20am," the statement said.
"The family has asked for privacy during this very difficult time."
29 year-old Jessica, who has appeared on Home and Away and other Australian series, was pulled from the wreckage of the family car with her sister on December 26 before it erupted in flames with the bodies of their parents inside.
She had reportedly undergone several surgeries, including the removal of a kidney and part of her skull but remained in a coma since the accident.
The 50-year-old man driving the four-wheel-drive that collided with the Falkholt's car was an habitual traffic offender with more than 60 convictions to his name, according to The Daily Telegraph.
