95,000 Additional Subarus Added To Recall List
An additional 95,000 Subaru have been recalled after an ongoing issue with the Takata airbags.
Affected vehicles are:
Liberty (2010-14) – 12 982 added
Outback (2010-14) – 14 656 added
Impreza (2008-13) – 24 119 added
Forester (2009-12) – 38 170 added
Tribeca (2007-13) – 3 838 added
Exiga (2010-14) – 934 added
Make sure you check if the VIN has been added to the extended recall.
At the same time Chrysler has issued a recall on a range of their cars.
That recall applies to Chrysler Sebring (JS) 2010, Dodge Caliber (PM) 2010-12 and the Jeep Compass and Patriot (MK) 2010-14.
The note was issued after finding that the occupant restrain controller in the vehicles are at times unreliable in a crash, meaning a loss of airbag and seatbelt pretensioner deployment capability.
