100,000 ‘Toe-slicing’ Chairs Recalled By Fantastic Furniture
A Sydney man has lost his middle toe and an 11-year-old boy has had part of a toe sliced off in incidents with the same type of chair for sale across Australia.
Fantastic Furniture will recall the nearly 100,000 Worx chairs after the two incidents and the model in question has been pulled from sale after recommendations from The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
While other retailers sell almost identical chairs, only Fantastic’s $39 version is known to have caused injuries.
Fantastic Furniture has 74 stores across Australia.
