10 Month Old Baby Suffers Horrific Abuse On A Sydney Train
A ten month old baby has reportedly suffered horrific abuse at the hands of a 22 year old man while travelling on a train between Central and Woy Woy, a court has heard.
The man appeared in Gosford Court today in relation to the incident after police were alerted to his actions at Woy Woy Station by a concerned member of the public.
While travelling on the train the man allegedly repeatedly pricked the baby’s ear with a sharp safety pin and hit him on the head with a mobile phone.
The baby was also dropped on his head during the journey and this resulted in a cut above his right eyebrow, although the man’s Legal Aid solicitor says the child was not dropped and that he fell.
The 10 month old was crying hysterically but the man accused of carrying out these actions and the child’s mother just told the child to ‘shut up.’
The accused had just been released from prison in March.
Bail was refused today and the case was adjourned until September 6.
