Commonwealth Bank Has Issued An URGENT Warning To Customers
We can’t seem to get away from scams at the moment.
Just yesterday, we were reporting on an Origin Energy scam that was going around and now it is the Commonwealth bank that is being affected.
The bank has taken to its social media to release a warning about an SMS hoax that has been sent around asking for personal details.
The bank wrote;
“Hoax Alert: We are aware of the following hoax SMS that is currently in circulation. If you receive this SMS please delete it.
“We will never send you an SMS that contains a link that will ask you to provide your NetBank client number, password, NetCode or credit card details. Please be sure to share this with any friends or relatives so they stay safe online.”
The bank even posted a screenshot of the text so customers knew exactly what to expect.
Please do not fall for it.
