Brisbane Homes Being Sold With "Year's Worth Of Avo Toast"
Well that's one way to clap back...
First home buyers (and lovers of avocado on toast alike), we may have the new Brisbane residence for you.
New townhouses in Brisbane's southwest are being offered with the promise of a year's worth of free avocado on toast.
The townhouses, in Sherwood, from $595,000, feature "chic design elements", "quality craftmanship" and a year's supply of avocado on toast once a weekend from nearby cafes, according to real estate agents Ray White Sherwood.
"Affordable house alternative, these brand new 2 or 3 bedroom Townhomes are nestled in a premier street of blue ribbon suburb, Sherwood," the branch states.
"Enjoy the local coffee trail and discover Gas Espresso, Three Girls Skipping, Annana's, Goodness Gracious - to name a few, and to help with the budget we are including 12 months free avocado on toast once a weekend at your favourite caf (sic)."
The marketing stunt appears to reference a column in The Australian last year, which chastised young prospective home buyers for spending too much money on brunches instead of saving for a deposit.
It follows another inventive ploy in Brisbane's real estate scene, in which a house in East Brisbane was offered with $50,000 worth of Penfolds Grange.
The house, yet to be built, has already received six offers, according to Fairfax Media.
