Woman Says Life's Better Now She’s Stopped Shaving Her Beard
Rose Geil was diagnosed with an extreme case of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome when she was younger, which can cause severe excess hair growth among other symptoms.
Rose says she tried everything from medication to laser hair removal but nothing worked.
Soon Rose was shaving every morning in a bid to hide her condition from the world.
At her worst, Rose never wanted to go outside, she shied away from making any friends and she even found it difficult to go to school.
Eventually it all became too much, and to top it all off her skin was extremely damaged from the constant shaving.
Rose then decided to let it grow and was given a confidence boost after people connected with her through social media and embraced her.
The 39 year old says this gave her the strength to continue on.
