The "Mermaid Leg Illusion" Is Kind Of Freaking Us Out
Once upon a time, we were all content with studying YouTube tutorials to figure out how to nail a perfect eyeliner flick on the first go.
Then, apparently, we got bored of that and thus, make-up challenges were born; think covering your face entirely in rhinestones, or applying 100 layers of eyelashes to your face, that kind of thing.
But this mermaid leg illusion is, for us, the straw that broke the camel's back.
Like, it's INSANELY realistic but goodness gracious, it's making us feel more than slightly queasy.
"Got bored last night and turned myself into a mermaid," Twitter user Channing Judith posted, along with a photo of her leg. "I'd rather be swimming with the fishes anyway."

Yes, that is JUST make-up!
"I was surprised at people's reaction," 23-year-old Channing told Metro.co.uk. "I even said on my personal FB account when I uploaded it that I didn't like how it turned out.
"Mermaids are fun and mystical. Ariel was always one of my favourite Disney Princesses.
"Plus, who doesn't love mermaids?"
Channing is, unbelievably, self-taught, but is about to head to California to attend the Cinema Make-Up School in Los Angeles.
We can't wait to see more of her work once she graduates!
