Opening Of Local Brisbane Gym Honours A Wife Taken Too Soon
This story will break your heart and then inspire you.
Business owners Aaron McAllister and Georgio Batsinilas will open FitazFK, following the online success of their brand of the same name, but their road has not been an easy one.
While plans were surging ahead to bring this gym to life, Aaron’s wife was tragically taken in a freak accident in Camp Hill on June 14, as she was walking to work.
“Yasmin and I wanted to build this gym together, and make it something really special. Now that she’s gone, it’s extra motivation for us,” Aaaron said in a statement. “Yasmin was the most beautiful person inside and out, and her passing impacted not only her close friends and family but every single person she crossed paths with.”
Since the tragedy, Aaron and Georgio have worked hard to bring the couple’s dream to fruition, opening in Kangaroo Point.
In honour of their very own FitazFK angel, Yasmin, a larger than life mural has been placed on the wall, created by local, internationally renowned artist Lee Harnden.
“Her complete vision and designs have truly come to life and we are honoured to have been able to do this,” Georgio said in a statement.
With over 300K followers on Instagram, FitazFK has transformed over 40,000 bodies worldwide.
“I’m lucky to have loved Yasmin as much as I did, and I’m so lucky that Georgio, my family, friends, our members and so many others are so dedicated in helping make her vision come to life in this gym,” said Aaron.
The FitazFK Gym is located at 101 Main St, Kangaroo Point and officially opens on October 16.
