How High Tea With The Girls Can Help Fight Domestic Violence

Who wants to eat cake for a good cause?

Friends with Dignity is a charitable organisation that works relentlessly to support women and families displaced by domestic and family violence.

This year they are hosting ‘High Tea With Friends’ - a chance to give back, and eat cakes!

THE EVENTS KEY NOTE SPEAKER WILL BE FWD NATIONAL AMBASSADOR ROSIE BATTY. ROSIE IS AN OUTSPOKEN AND DYNAMIC CRUSADER AGAINST DOMESTIC AND FAMILY VIOLENCE AND WAS NAMED AUSTRALIAN OF THE YEAR IN 2015.

Rosie will also be available for meet and greet during the event and will be personally signing copies of her bestselling book ‘A Mother’s Story’. This is an event not to be missed!

Awarded 2018 Australian Charity of the Year, Friends With Dignity are a volunteer led organisation that provide ‘sanctuaries’ for women and families in need – sourcing pre-loved and new household items, clothing, as well as personal care items, to fully furnish homes and provide a safe space for those escaping domestic violence situations.

They create crisis packs for victims who need urgent necessities in less than 48 hours, and work to support both the victims and their children through the transition.

Held during Domestic & Family Violence Prevention Month, the ‘High Tea With Friends’ event will be held on 18 May 2019 at City hall between 2pm -5pm. And tickets begin at just $69per person.

Your admission to this fabulous afternoon with Friends includes a glass of bubbles on arrival, decadent high tea selection, entertainment, guest speakers, raffles/auction, and a lot of fun!

What could be better? Mini portions of food (we don’t know why but they always taste better mini), drinks, friends and just the knowledge that you’re giving back to those in need.
