Bride Suffers Allergic Reaction To Her OWN Wedding Cake
Well this just takes the cake...
A bride from New Jersey has suffered an allergic reaction to milk and almonds in her OWN Wedding cake.
Victoria and Dominic Tumolo were enjoying their wedding when Victoria started having trouble breathing.
Being a nurse, the she soon realised what was happening and had her father administer an EpiPen through her wedding dress.
Talking to the Courier-Post of Cherry Hill in the US, Victoria said: "I had to take my dress off outside so they wouldn't cut it off me when we got to the hospital," Victoria said.
You may be wondering why she wouldn't have told the cake maker about her allergies? Well, Victoria had no idea it even existed.
In fact, she soon learned that symptoms of her new-found allergy manifest after exercise...dancing in this case.
The couple missed the rest of their reception, even though Victoria was treated in hospital and eventually released that evening.
"Not exactly what I was imagining for our wedding night," Dominic, her new husband said.
Luckily for the Bride and Groom, the owner of the catering company, Jim Auletto and the owner of the entertainment company teamed up to give them a second reception which will take place on Sunday.
Volunteers will do the bride's hair and makeup, and the wedding photographer will also return at no cost.
Victoria and Dominic also never had the chance to cut their wedding cake, as Victoria had eaten a piece of a kitchen cake for photographic purposes only.
"I'm thinking of cutting that cake and smashing it in her face," her new husband said. Great.
Good luck and congratulations to the happy couple!
