The Beatles Final Touring Year - 1966

The Beatles played their last ever concert (not counting their Apple Records rooftop appearance in 1969) in their native England when they perform at a show put on by the New Musical Express on this day in 1966.

1966 was a watershed year for the band after they released the ground breaking album Revolver, and deciding to retire from touring and concentrate on recording in the studio.

Below see one of their final performances from that year recorded in Tokyo.
