New Footage Of Queen Is The Closest You'll Get To A Live Gig

This looks AND sounds amazing.

Live concert footage from Queen’s 1981 showS in Montreal has just been digitally restored, and it will take your breath away.

Queen guitarist Brian May directed the restoration, using footage over two gigs performed in Montreal.

May said the the restoration has made for more a much more captivating film, saying it is “much more true to what actually happened at any given moment… And I do find that once I’m five minutes into the film, I’m caught up in it as a real live show.”

The show was originally released on VHS in 1984, but the band weren't happy with the editing or sound quality.

Now, all songs from the 24-track audio, which had been edited, have been restored to their full length, and the footage that wasn’t cut and discarded has been rejoined into full performances using “modern digital artistry”.
