AC/DC join Foo Fighters, Coldplay in MTV EMA Nods

After their documentary series Sonic Highways took two Emmy Awards over the weekend, Foo Fighters are nominated for yet another awards show. Dave Grohl and company are double nominees for the 2015 MTV European Music Awards, earning nods in the Best Live Act and Best Rock categories.

Joining the Foos in the Best Rock category are AC/DC, Royal Blood, Muse and Coldplay. Twenty One Pilots, Lorde, Fall Out Boy, Florence + the Machine and Lana Del Rey are nominated for the Best Alternative category.

Royal Blood is also nominated for Best Push, given to the best breakout band. James Bay is up for Best Push too, as well as Best New Act.

Elsewhere among the nominees, Slash is up for the Best World Stage award for his performance at the O2 Academy Glasgow in Scotland last year. Kaiser Chiefs are also nominated in the Best World Stage category for their 2014 show at MTV Crashes Plymouth in England.

The 2015 MTV EMAs will air live October 25 from Milan, Italy. You can vote now at MTVEMA.com/vote.
