Sonya And Hadil Speak Out After Being Booted From MKR
Sonya and Hadil became known as the MKR bullies after their harsh and personal, verbal attack on another couple on Wednesday night’s episode saw them asked to leave the table by one of the judges.
Viewers were left horrified after the two best friends from NSW went on a rampage, picking on sisters Jess and Emma for their appearance and their cooking abilities, before turning their wrath on the rest of the table.
And now, since copping a whole heap of criticism online, Sonya and Hadil have broken their silence.
They apologised to viewers for their behaviour but also defended themselves saying that producers of the show had edited them to look worse than they actually were.
“There is more to the ’scandal’ than meets the eye, however we take full responsibility for our words that came out of our mouths and we apologise,” the pair said on Instagram.
“Like any reality TV show, no one but the people on-set filming 10-14 hour days know exactly what goes on behind the tears, the tension, the smiles, the reactions and the words exchanged.

Of course, most people who watch reality TV are privy to the fact that producers do manipulate and edit around things all of the time, but in saying that, they can’t force you to say things. And the things that Sonya and Hadil said at the dinner table certainly were disgraceful.
However, it appears that their rivals Jess and Emma have slightly forgiven them after the attack, as they asked viewers not to bully Sonya and Hadil online.
“There is no place for bullying in any way, shape or form,” said Jess while appearing on Sunrise. “I think Australia really needs to look at that if they’re so against bullying and what happened on the show, they just really need to go easy on the girls as well.”
Channel Seven have now hinted at the fact that Sonya and Hadil might return to My Kitchen Rules on Sunday night’s episode. But after such a fiery exit, will they be welcomed back with open arms? Will just have to wait and see!
