Gordon Ramsay Planning Return To Television

Gordon Ramsay is reportedly hoping to make his British TV comeback.

The 49-year-old chef, who is famous for his ferocious temper and use of bad language, has been working across the pond on shows such as Hotel Hell.

But after years away from his homeland, Gordon is now said to be hoping to return to England to work on a host of new programmes.

"Gordon has launched his own production company to make new scripted and unscripted TV shows," a source told The Sun newspaper. "He has been away from UK screens for years trying to increase his profile in the U.S. and clear his debts, but he is ready to return now."

According to the paper, Gordon is negotiating a potential return for some of his most famous television shows. But he is unlikely to agree to another "golden handcuffs" deal with Channel 4, like the one he used to have, apparently preferring to keep his options open when it comes to his channel home.

"He’s negotiating with several broadcasters to bring back Kitchen Nightmares and The F Word and there are lots of new ideas for shows as well," the insider continued. "This time he wants to keep his options open and probably won’t sign an exclusive arrangement like before with Channel 4. He is speaking to ITV, the BBC and Sky and they are all interested to hear his ideas.

"It’s a really exciting time and he can’t wait to get back to Britain."

Gordon's return is expected to come after he finishes his two-year deal with Fox, who broadcast Hotel Hell and also enlisted the chef as a judge on the U.S. version of MasterChef.
