Director Confirms Bill Murray's Ghostbusters Cameo
The director of the new Ghostbusters film has confirmed reports suggesting Bill Murray will be part of the film.
After years spent dismissing all reports of a return to the franchise, Murray was spotted on the set of the new all-female Ghostbusters last year, and now Paul Feig has revealed that the funnyman will make a cameo appearance in the forthcoming reboot.
His original castmates Sigourney Weaver and Dan Aykroyd will also return for small roles in the reboot, which stars Murray's St. Vincent co-star Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, and Kristen Wiig.
Feig tells Yahoo, "Bill worked with Melissa in St. Vincent... and Kristen knows him really well. One of the reasons he did it, I think he liked the role we wrote for him. But he also just likes these actors, and just wanted to be a part of it. And he didn't want to give any stamp of disapproval by not coming on board."
The much-anticipated Ghostbusters reboot also features Chris Hemsworth, Neil Casey, Andy Garcia, and Michael K. Williams
