David Cassidy In Trouble With The Law After A Hit And Run
Troubled former teen heartthrob David Cassidy is at it again...
In a police report according to the Daily Mail, the Partridge Family star is accused of slamming into a vehicle while driving at high speeds and swerving in and out of lanes on a Florida highway - then taking off from the scene.
If he couldn't make it any worse, he was also driving with a suspended license because of prior DUI's.
He is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and could face six month's probation, a $500 fine and 60 days in jail.
The Daily Mail reported that according to Florida police, the accident occurred at around noon when he sideswiped a car.
Police put out a notice for the Kia Sportage driven by Cassidy and found him at the hospital a little over an hour later.
He reportedly told police that he left the site to go to a scheduled hospital appointment.
He also told officers that he gave his registration and other information to the other driver before taking off.
The 65-year-old actor was never tested for drugs or alcohol by the police.
His car was eventually towed by AAA due to the extent of damage done to it, and the vehicle he collided with has an estimated $12,000 in damages.
His first arrest was in November 2010 in Florida where police dashcam shows him trying to walk a straight line during a sobriety test.
Nearly two years later, August 2013, he was stopped in New York.
Last year, police in California pulled him over after he made an illegal right turn at a red light.
He was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
He has also had his fair share of money problems, filing for bankruptcy earlier this year.
